Romantic Birthday in Providence or vicinity
We want to try a new place with excellent food for my husband's Birthday. We already frequent Chez Pascal ( my favorite), Al Forno, New Rivers...I was thinking about D. Carlo in Smithfield, Carmine on Federal Hill, DeWolfe in Bristol (although it has mixed reviews), a French place in Attleboro?. We tried Persimon once, but we had a bad table in the middle of waiter traffic, and the noise was overwhelming--also why we have not tried Siena yet...We have not cared fro Gracie's the two times we tried it, much prefer the food and ambiance at CP. Any recommendations, reviews, etc...?

How about the Castle Hil Inn in Newport. The food is so yummy, the view is amazing and the service is very nice

The food's not on the same level as that of Chez Pascal (also my favorite), but I think Loie Fuller is super romantic. I've had solid, not amazing, meals there over the last two years. Have a cocktail or two at the bar first and make an evening of it.
Happy birthday!
