Best choices in Newark, DE

I'm visiting Newark, DE for a few days and want to know where are the best places to eat in town. I'm open minded about the type of food--what are some local highlights and 'must-eat' restaurants? Thanks!

Nonna's is great (for everything but the risotto). Potstickers is a pan-asian place that has nice stuff. The Elkton Hotel in Elkton. MD is a regulation crab place. Cafe Gelato is noisy and expensive for what you get. The tapas place just outside of town called Ole something or other has been a disappointment. Tapas are underseasoned and a bit too greasy .

I am hardly an expert-a native new yorker, but spend much time in Newark. Some palces I have recently enjoyed include Nonnas, a wonderful italian restaurant, Firebirds, a weood grilling place. Both look unassuming from the outside but have nice ambiance and good food. They are not inexpensive however. Both relatively close to each other-on route 4 I believe.
There is always Cafe Gelato downtown Newark, but I find it a bit pricey, and loud and usually wait for a 2x1 special. Thats all for now, but there are more...
