Cafe Spice Namaste, Aldgate, London
Very creamy egg on toast, beautiful texture, not even a strand of curd. Nice savoury and somewhat spicy (cumin/coriander?) flavour, but also slightly sweet, topped with coriander leaf (wish there was more of that).
An lamb curry with a nice tomato base, fairly mellow, with tender lamb. Nothing special but certainly not bad.
Bebinca, a smooth and slight chewy roll that somehow manages to reminds me of banana bread despite the textural difference. Hot against cold vanilla ice cream.
Very good but not great overall. A well-known Parsee chef with a kitchen of Goan cooks. Perhaps I'll try more of the Goan dishes next time.
