reunion location Buffalo/Amherst area

  • 1

I am trying to plan a reunion for some friends in the Buffalo area. Can anyone reccomend a great location? It does not have to be gourmet, however a place with good Buffalo food, or a bar or other location where we could bring in would be ideal. It will probably be about 50 -75 people on a Sat. night in September.

  1. Skybar, at 257 Franklin St., has a rooftop patio bar that you can reserve for private functions, even on a Saturday night.
If it is early or mid September, an outdoor venue looking over the city would be fun, especially for a reunion, if many people are returning home to Buffalo.
The names & concepts of the restaurants in this three story bar/restaurant complex change so often that I've lost track of the latest incarnations.
Your locals would remember this building as housing Darcy McGee's, an Irish-themed pub. There was/is a barbecue joint , (Buffalo Smokehouse?) there, but it may have gone back to the Irish pub theme again. The website information I've included below is outdated as well, but it's a start. It would be best to do some research and call.
Standard bar fare, wings, etc. comes from the restaurant's kitchens downstairs, and is decent.
This is in the Chippewa bar strip area, and that area would be hopping on a Saturday night, which may be a plus for those looking to continue the party after the engagement.
