Sushi on Bundy and Olympic?
What's the sushi bar in the same plaza as Quizno's and Good Stuff Burgers, and is it quality? How're the prices and is it good for lunch?
Thanks in advance!

If it's what I'm thinking of, it's called Suzuki. I was there a couple of years ago and recall the sushi being pretty good (not at the level of say, Hide on Sawtelle though).
The prices were very reasonable and the service was frinedly. They give you the basics, and do a decent job, don't expect anything fancy, but for what it is, my take is that it's a pretty reasonable place.

I used to work in the project across the street (Westside Media Center) and I'd eat there often. We always liked it and decent prices! As Tusc noted, it's not superior, but good.

I don't think it's Suzuki any longer. At least, the last time I drove by the sign was very different. Maybe someone in the area could check and let us know.
I ate at Suzuki many times over the years, probably at least 30 times, almost all of them for lunch. I enjoyed the sushi there quite a lot. It was not inexpensive. I probably spent at least $20-$25 for an average lunch of maybe 3-4 orders of nigiri and one or two rolls.
The biggest problem was that the chef-owner was always incredibly harried. He never had anyone helping him behind the bar, and only had his wife as a waitress and I'm guessing a cook in the kitchen. Sometimes you could sit at the bar for 10-15 minutes without getting any food. They always seemed really stressed out. I only went there when time wasn't an issue.

The Suzuki people sold the place; it is now called Midami Sushi. The new owners are going after the lunchtime delivery crowd (Suzuki did not deliver) and have circulated a splashy takeout menu will lots of color pictures, mostly focusing on rolls. My office mates order from there and and enjoy the sushi rolls and hand rolls, though I was unimpressed with my sample. Lately I've heard that the fish is very fresh and the sashimi has gotten a big thumbs up, but I have yet to verify this. Will report when I do.

It is Midami and the "gringo" style rolls are great! Although it is in a strip mall, I prefer it to many over-hyped/prices local places. We take people all the time here and they are so suprised at how good it is.
