Paso Robles - Is Rose and Violet's Victorian Tearoom Still Open?

  • 3

Hi, all. Title says it all. I tried to pull up their website and it looks like it's gone. I'm planning a birthday weekend trip to Paso for my partner, and we're both big tea fans.

  1. They used to be at 1032 Pine Street (by the movie theater), right? I drove by there this afternoon to check for you and it's a wine tasting room now, Kaleidescope Lounge.

There's a tea room in Atascadero you might try called The Tea Trolley. It's at 5932 Entrada Ave., behind the Carlton Hotel. It was closed when I went by, but it looks charming. Enjoy your trip!

    1. There is also the Tea Cozy in a charming old house on Bridge St. in Cambria. British food stockists and can report they serve very good scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

      Wed-Sun, 10:00 to 5:00

      1. Thanks for the replies Marcasite and Toodie Jane! When the website wouldn't load, I figured they'd gone under, what a shame. There's too few good tea places (that I know of) in this general area.

TJ, I'd come across Tea Cozy and had planned to hit them as well, since we're going to Hearst Castle first thing in the morning. Figured by the time we were done with the tour, that'd be a good spot for a light lunch and some scones before heading into Paso for wine tasting. Have you had their lemon curd? My partner is a huge fan and so she's looking forward to trying it.
