Portland suggestion - one night only!

Hi all...I'll be driving through Portland in a couple of weeks...what is the one place I must hit!?!?

I'm on the younger side (32) and alone so I won't be needing candles and romance (unless some young cutey out there wants to join me! I'm buyin!)

I like old school french bistros a lot...steak frites is a fav dish of mine. So, a happening french places would be great!

Thanks so much for any suggestions!

  1. I like Fenouil in the Pearl District. Great Steak Frites and great salads, cheese plate etc. Also, very nice decor.

thanks! Looks like Pigeon might be good for solo dining also...any other ideas?

Tabla (@ the counter), Clyde Common, Sel Gris (@ the chef's counter), Toro Bravo (@ the counter)...

    2. You can't go wrong with Le Pigeon. It's top notch. When you're done eating you can go to the Doug Fir or Rontoms and drink and there will be cute young girls at both.

      1. Toro Bravo isn't French. Although it has a great energy and amazing food.

I'd say Le Pigeon would top the list. Ate there a few weeks ago and next to us were the owners of Paley's Place. So, it is a place where other top chefs go to eat.

I also love the vibe of Blue Hour.
