New England Clam Chowda ! [Moved from New England board]

Can someone please post their best Chowda recipe. I am looking for something really thick that i can stand my spoon in. I make a pretty good chowda but am always interested in other ideas. If you can please list the methods you use with the recipe, (rue, ingredients specifics, etc ...)

      That's not really NE style (thick goop). Jasper White has a pretty good recipe, can be found on the web.

        Turner Fisheries was the perpetual chowderfest winner. Their recipe is easy to find on the web. If you want it thicker, add more roux.
