Portland restaurant wedding?
Hi! My fiance and I are planning a small wedding (25 people) for October and would love to go to an established restaurant versus catering somewhere. Any ideas of places that would look kindly on a large-ish dinner party? We were looking at Fore Street already, but any other recommendations would be great (our guests would all be staying in Portland). Thanks!

Last year my daughter had a small wedding at the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth. The food was good and the setting is great since it's right on the edge of Crescent Beach. They have rooms that can accommodate a range of wedding sizes. Everyone was very happy with the outcome.
If quality of food is your top priority, I would go with one of the Portland restaurants that kengeats recommended.

555, you can probably get the whole upstairs though it is a bit spread out around the wall. hard to explain, you should just go see for yourself, its worth it. Back bay grill is awesome. The food is amazing and they def do big parties all the time.
