My husband and I would like to go somewhere a little nicer for our Anniversary but we just want coffee and dessert. Any suggestions in the Nashville/Franklin area?

I am obsessed with the banana bread pudding at Mirror. No one ever believes me when I say it is absolutely one of the best things I've ever tasted until they take the first bite, and then they fall madly in love as well. Plus they have fun after-dinner drinks!

Don't forget the chocolate soup at Mirror too, it is great. It also has a neat atmosphere and has recently been remodeled.

Another option would be the Cocoa Tree in Germantown, next door to Germantown Cafe. They have homemade truffles and a few desserts and also serve coffees and hot chocolates. It is small and cozy but could be fun to combine with Germantown Cafe.

One more option that would be nice, F.Scott's -- great dessert menu and usually live jazz. http://www.fscotts.com/menu.html

Ya know, I know a lot of people rave about Sunset Grill desserts but I've never been that enamored. I like SG well enough, but ... eh.

Eastland Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants and they have good desserts. Another favorite is Yellow Porch, also very nice desserts. It's been a long time since I had dessert at Germantown Cafe, but I like the food so that might be worth looking into as well.
