Prime Rib (PHX)?
I have a friend coming in to town and has requested prime rib.
I'm not a big prime rib person and so hardly ever seek it out, much less order it.
Is there a place in Phoenix/Scottsdale that you would recommend for prime rib? For some background, said friend is a big fan of the Smith & Wollensky prime rib (which, of course, I have also never had so I have no point of comparison).
My default choices would be to hit up one of chain steakhouses. If I go that route, is there one chain steakhouse that does a better prime rib than others?
But if other people have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
Thanks.

I think that Don & Charlie's in Scottsdale has the best Prime Rib in town. WAY better than the chain steakhouses, and it's locally owned/operated.

I haven't had it (I always order the fried lobster), but we've been with friends at El Chorro who love the prime rib and always order it when we visit. They offer 10 and 14-oz cuts.

Thanks for the rec everyone.
I think we're headed off to Christopher's, in part because I want to try the place, esp. the Pied de cochon.
I'll report back.
