Rec needed for 13yo girls' dinner, midtown west

Sean Dell Apr 29, 2009 12:14 PM

Hey Folks,

I'm entertaining twenty 13yo girls for my daughter's birthday in a month's time.

Any recs in midtown west (this will place us nicely for the movie that we'll go to afterwards).

Thank you.

Havana Central is usually good for large groups and might be fun for the girls. I've done a large party there and they were able to accomodate us with a set menu, which is always easier than a la carte.

You like the food there? I gave up on Dallas BBQ a lot of years ago. Their food was so fatty, that as far as my stomach was concerned, it was as if I had drunk kerosene.

Havana Central, on the other hand, has been fine when I've gone there.

For 20 teens the food will be fine and it'll go easy on Mom's pocketbook too.

McDonald's would probably be fine for 20 average teens, too. You assume these teens have no taste in food, right?

it is in chelsea so a little south of what you might want but il bastardo might be a good choice. they even have a back back room that would fit the group comfortable. good italian not expensive but has a fun vibe with out being over the top.

          John's Pizzeria, Angelo's Pizza, Ruby Foo's (they'd think RF's was "cool")

ruby foo's is an awesome idea. not my ideal place right now, but from 13-16, i'd have been totally thrilled!

How about Vynyl? May be a bit too north for you. I took a mature 10 year old there after a matinee and she liked it.
