Seeing Wicked at the Orpheum with 3 Neices and 4 Sisters
Hello hounds! I'm seeing a matinee of Wicked at the Orpheum this weekend on a "girl trip" with my sisters and neices. The younger girls are 10-12 yrs, and we would love to take them somewhere fun and tasty afterwards. We were thinking something 1) Kind of upscalish- yet kid friendly 2) with good food- the other ladies all enjoy something tasty when they go out. Maybe cal-cuisine, italian or seafood but we're open to suggestions 3) Something not too far from the theatre.
It may be a tall order, but I would appreciate any help in making it a SF day to remember!

Zuni Cafe might work, nice upscale but not stuffy and close.

Zuni is closed for renovations through May 5th, I just called to try to get reservations.

Heaven's Dog is close, stylish, and fun with an interesting menu. In spite of the fact that my one visit there was a bit of a trainwreck, I recommend it.

I'm not sure what time your show ends, but what about Afternoon Tea at the Rotunda at Nieman Marcus (Union Square)? That might be really fun, especially for the younger ones.

Thanks for the suggestions! I just found out that someone else is planning dinner- a new place called Artisan Bistro in Lafayette. Afternoon tea at Neiman's is a great idea. Maybe we'll have to work that into a day of shopping some other time!
