Visiting Springfield, VA need help in finding good place for a group

I will be in Springfield for a meeting next week. There are several of us from across the US at the meeting. Any suggestions on dining? Also, we will be in the Bel Air MD area earlier in the week, if you have suggestions for that area, that would be great too!

I'd recommend Mike's American; one of our area's Great American Restaurants. The GAR group has a consistently good rep, good prices, service and a nice, varied food selection.

It tends to get crowded, so do use their call-ahead feature to get on the wait list for a table if you don't want to hang out in the bar for a long time waiting for a large table to clear.

I like MIke's but if you have a big group, you might not be able to sit together.

You are correct about not being able to sit together! They have one table for 10-15 people, the rest of the time only 5 can sit together. We were promised to sit together but did not follow through when we arrived. The food was excellent as was the service but if you want to sit as a large group, forget Mikes!
