DC Late-Night Chow
i'm a ny-er coming to dc this thurs. for the, like, 20th time in my life and am finally taking one of those 'moonlight monument' tours that ends at 10pm. i'm staying in georgetown, coming in w/my adorable mom, and need an after-10pm dinner idea. doesn't HAFTA be in g'town but i don't want to be riding around in expensive cabs for too long (mom's not getting on the metro...) nothing fancy or expensive. just good food, late. doing the two amys and mendocino grill on our other nights.
thanks in advance!
In Georgetown a good late night spot is Bistro Francais...they even have a late night 3-course meal special. I like their roasted chicken and frites.
In Dupont Circle there is Bistro du Coin, great late night food, open until around 1am. I went there on Saturday around midnight and had an amazing steak frites and a glass of wine. It can get pretty loud in there and boisterous, but the food is good.
From what I understand Proof (in Gallery Place/Chinatown) and Cashion's Eat Place, both have late night menus. I've never tried the special menu but their regular menus are great.

thank you, elyssa. i've heard good things about bistro francais -- have certainly passed it -- and might go that route, though bistro du coin sounds fun.
if you ever need intel in nyc, let me know!
thanks again:)
