White chocolate failure

I was melting some white chocolate on the weekend and it end up being a big mess. I must of gotten some water in it as it seized up. Now I had 2 cups of chocolate. Can it be saved? What can I use it for? I've tried melting it again but nada..................would it work if I added more liquid???

More liquid should "unseize" the chocolate -

Is it possible that it overheated? I'm not sure of the properties of white chocolate, but certainly it's easy to over heat/burn dark/milk choc.

ditto, white chocolate seems to go from melted to chalky and dried out in a blink...quicker than dark or milk chocolate even.

it is possible the heat was on too high. I was surprised it happened so quickly. I've never had a problem with regular chocolate. I'll try adding more liquid to it, I hate having to throw out two cups of chocolate.

I've been able to "unseize" chocolate by adding butter (or vegetable oil) and slowly heating it and stirring. It hasn't always worked but I have been able to salvage some.
