Lunchtime beer and chatter

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to catch up with a couple of old chums at lunch on Friday. We decided to meet in Manchester, CT as it was close for everyone. Plan A is to meet at John Harvard's...anyone care to offer up a Plan B?

Thanks in advance!

  1. There is a Hooters, just down the street from John Harvards,, Also there is a nice new place just down the street past Bugaboo Creek called Boston's the Gourmet Pizza.(http://www.bostonsgourmet.com/) Take a look at that,, Also Bugabbo Creek has real good lunch specials,,,, Also Adams Mill on Adams st. has a real good lunch menu. Prices are very reasonable..Just ate there for lunch last week and had a really good meal for under $8 dollars... Hope this helps,, Good luck Earle Ct.

    1. You can do so much better than John Harvards. the food is mediocre at best. I gave it two tries and both times weren't good. I don't recall what I ate the first time but the second try resulted in a burned burger. The beer isn't even that great. I would recommend Corey's Catsup & Mustard on Main St in Manchester. They have a good beer selection and I've never had a bad meal there out of the three times I went. Also on Main St is Mulberry Pizza, they just moved to a bigger location. Good food and beer selection.

Catsup and Mustard has comments on many threads on this board! Thanks for the tips!

Has the service gotten any better at Mulberry Street since they moved? It always somehow took them 5-10 minutes to get to me while I stood at the counter to pick up my pizzas, even when I was the only customer in the place.

I'm not sure ratbuddy. I have only been to the new location once on a weeknight and it was somewhat early in the evening. It was only semi-full and service wasn't an issue. Maybe some Mulberry regulars on the board can comment.
