I'm looking for the same thing. For some reason I like to go north on Mother's Day, I guess because it's a nice day to take a drive in the country. I just hate getting ripped off with the Mother Day "special menu" (my eyes are rolling right about now). I know a couple years back we went to the Bulls Head Inn in Campbell Hall which I think is in Orange Co.. I remember the setting being very nice and the food was good (not great). Here is their website...... http://www.bullsheadinn.com/Index.htm Also one year we went to the Would in Highland, NY again not sure but I think that is in Orange Co. , nice place with some organic offerings...... http://www.thewould.com/ I have a friend who goes to the Thayer restaurant in West Point every year for the brunch and she likes it. http://www.thethayerhotel.com/ There is also Monteverde in Peekskill/Cortlandt..... http://www.monteverderestaurant.com/ or Bird and Bottle in Garrison..... http://www.thebirdandbottleinn.com/ if I think of others i will post them

We are going to the Villa Barone Hilltop for their brunch as we are having my daughter's Bat Mitzvah there in Sept and we want to check it out.

We found this delightful little Thai food place overlooking the water, while we we were riding the northway bike trail.

They seem to be having an event for a group mother's day brunch on Saturday instead of Sunday. We have been going for Saturday late lunches after our bike excursions. It is a nice place to rest and stop after a long ride, have some Thai food over views of a lake. We really like the food and the atmosphere.

You may also want to try the Tavern in the Highland Country Club in Putnam Co. ,,,,,,,,,,,,, http://www.highlandscountryclub.net/tavern.html
They have a $35.00 price fixe menu for a buffet meal. If your looking for non buffet try the Valley Restaurant at the Garrison Country Club........ http://www.thegarrison.com/

I just posted on another thread about the Crabtree Kittle House brunch buffet in Chappaqua. It is excellent. I've been two years in a row on Father's Day and the setting is elegant, food is fantastic.

The best place to eat any meal in that area is the Iron Forge Inn in Bellvale/Warwick. They have a Mother's Day brunch. I highly recommend them.
