Mother's Day Brunch in Ottawa
Any suggestions? We will be visiting for Mother's Day and taking my MIL out. She is staying near Laurier and Lyon, so something in the area would be good, but not necessary. Also, we have a 3 year old and 5 year old.

I just ate at Murray Street (on Murray Street) for brunch and it was delicious! We had the cassoulet, and the pork neck, and both were amazing. Family friendly as there were two other tables with children. Otherwise, Benny's Bistro menu looks good (across the street in the bakery), and if you want something higher end, Domus is also on the same street and serves a more elegant sunday brunch (but probably a bit too fancy for children). I'm actually from Toronto, so I have no idea where Laurier and Lyon are, but I do hope it's close to Murray Street!

If you're not adverse to taking a short trip on the bus or driving a short distance (though most likely facing a lot of traffic), the places superangela mentioned aren't too far and are in the middle of an area where you can spend the rest of the day. Lots of places in the market do lunch, but the places superangela mentioned are solid places.

We go to Moxies every year. They serve brunch from 10 am to 1 pm. They have menu items for kids and they normally give flowers to all the mothers. It's a classy restaurant with very reasonable prices. I've provided a link for the brunch menu below. You can check out the different locations on their website. Enjoy your stay in Ottawa! :)
