九記牛腩 - 爽腩

When is the best time to go to 九記牛腩 for the 爽腩? I've been told everything from 4pm, 6-7pm, to 830pm (which is right after its cleanup break). Thanks!

As far as crowds go, it's been really quiet these couple of weeks (I walk past at lunchtime maybe every second day), even between 1.30-2.30 when the lines are usually longest. But if you were enquiring about best time re stage of cooking that the song laam are at, I'm not much help. Honestly I think Kau Kee is a bit overrated - much too heavy/oily. I prefer Tai Lee in Tin Hau.

I've only been once so I don't know if my opinion counts. We got there around 6:30 or so, didn't have to wait but did share a table. Shortly after, it got really busy. We were in and out within 25 minutes. No kidding.
