Mexican Bridal Shower

I'm trying to plan a very small dinner (5-8 people) in honor of my friend's upcoming wedding, and I'm looking for good Mexican restaurants in the city. My old standby is Mexican Radio and there is always Rosa Mexicana, but I'd like to hear other people's suggestions. Price can be from moderate to slightly expensive, and I'm open to locations all over the city. Thanks!

be original...go to Suenos..for inventive food, a beautiful "hideaway" location, and terrific drinks...

I threw a shower at La Palapa on the West Side. You can also host events at Agave.

How about Mama Mexico on Broadway and 101? They have mariachi music in the evenings, good food, great drinks.

One of my least favorite restaurants in the city (if not beyond). Tex mex slop and tons of huge families. And those mariachis!! My favorites: Hell's Kitchen, Suenos. Totally different class of Mexican food.
