I know cottage cheese is not very CH - but I need help. I love Breakstone's cottage cheese (red and white container) - yeah, the good stuff-the 4% milkfat stuff. It used to be available from Supertarget--then it just disappeared. I also shop Rainbow for a few items (not there), Kowalski's on Grand or in woodbury (did not see it), and Cub. I was just at Byerly's in Roseville last weekend and I also did not see it. However, a few of those places do carry the 4 pack..which I'm not interested in-I want the big carton/tub.

Does anyone know where I can pick this up? Even if it is a Target or Cub-let me know the neighborhood. I'm willing to drive (and spend $4.50) for it. TIA.

Lunds? Whole Foods?

Snoboardbabe- I agree that good cottage cheese is worth traveling for- I remember when
Breakstone's had very little gums or thickeners and now I think they do put them in...and I have fond memories of Reading Terminal Market in phila. where twice a week Amish people would come in with incredible homemade cottage cheese with huge curds.

One thing you might try is a new kind I've seen at Whole Foods that doesn't add any gums.. they have a whole milk as well as a low fat variety, can't think of the brand now, sorry...

Hey Faith-thanks for the tip. You know, I went to Kowalski's on Grand and double checked. They have breakstone's but only the fat free and 2% and I'm sorry - but I feel they don't have any taste. I was thinking about the Whole Foods-I like a lot of their meat and produce selection but last time I was there, I never stopped to check the dairy section. Hmm...I'll check it out this weekend!
