Here is another good site.
Atlantic Jewish Council, Kosher Food:

Hi, my husband and I were in Halifax a year and a half ago. We bought most of out food and snacks at Petes Frootique. They had kosher bread and cheese plus lots of kosher grocery products. Their produce is excellent. Nothing near Cape Breton except what you find in the grocery stores, but buy bread before leave Halifax and take it with.

Here is Chabad's local website too, they are located very close to this grocery store. They offer meals if you order them. We didn't do this since we weren't there for Shabbat.

I doubt that you will find much in the way of fresh kosher products in Nova Scotia outside of Halifax. I suspect that, even there, the supply is quite limited.
Although Sobey's, the major supermarket chain in that area, operates one of North America's largest kosher supermarkets (in suburban Toronto), they don't emphasize kosher food anywhere else and the staff isn't much help.
Your best bet would be to shop at Superstore (Loblaw's) locations. The Beth Israel link above indicates where you can find kosher meats and such in Halifax. Elsewhere, the store brands that can be kosher usually are. The most typical hashgachas are COR and MK. If they sell Liberty and/or Western dairy products in that area, these are fabulous. (Most, but not all, of these are kosher.)
