Oh, yeah - Cub! I'm always amazed at the selection of foods at the Hi-Lake Cub. There's lots of Mexican, of course, but also Asian, Indian, Middle-Eastern, and Scandinavian (!). Plus, all the aisle signs are in two languages, so I can practice my Spanish vocabulary when I shop.
I'll bet they don't have Blue Mountain coffee, but I'd bet only a quarter, 'cause there's a chance I'd be wrong...

In my quest to recreate my favorite cocktail in MSP (Red Hot Passion from Chambers), I bought passion fruit juice at the Wedge, but I didn't bother to read the label before I got it home. It was a mix of passion fruit and pear juice, and there is no indication of how much passion fruit juice is actually in it.
If you find a source for passion fruit nectar, please let me know. I guess I'll check out TropicWorld if I don't hear any different.

re: BigE
I tend to like Aunty Lilikoi's passion fruit nectar. It's expensive and the shipping from Hawaii doesn't help. But it's very tasty. http://www.auntylilikoi.com/
Lately, though, I've been ordering pf nectar from finestcall.com. It's not nearly as good, but it does the job.

Try calling United Noodle for Passion Fruit Nectar. They have all kinds of amazing stuff.
For Tia Maria, call a big liquor store near you. It's pretty common; for example, Surdyk's has it (according to their web site).

Is this stuff you need for your Carribean dessert? Did you call these guys http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/6125... to see if they could help you?

re: The Dairy Queen
Yes this is for my Caribbean dessert which I will be serving on Saturday and am gathering the final touches. I need a beverage pairing and hoped to do Jamaican coffee w/Tia Maria.
I did call the TropicWorld Foods market, but it does not seem that they have many fresh ingredients. They don't carry the coffee, but suggested that I substitute with instant Puerto Rican coffee as it is much cheaper. I would prefer to have fresh delicious ingredients.
I also did swing by there last Sunday (they were closed) and peeped in the windows. The place looks pretty disheveled and the products that I could see looked pretty aged.
I tried the Wedge this afternoon, but am afraid that I will have to make the trek to Whole Paycheck or Byerly's to see if I can find anything.
