Metromix lists 18 restaurants in the Chicago area with Puerto Rican food (although some also feature other Latin American cuisines, e.g. Cuban). None of them are in the suburbs.

Years back, there was a great place in Naperville, I was able to eat the foods I only eat when I head to Dominican Republic, tostones, croquettas de jamon.... but they closed. I would adore to find a place just like that.

Years ago there used to be a Puerto Rican place in downtown Aurora, 2 young moms and one of their dads did the cooking. Their mofongo and pork products were to die for. I think the restaurant was too much work for them between raising little ones and trying to get top notch fresh produce daily. They only lasted 6 months but all of us who worked in the area still remember all that garlic and such tasty delights. I would support one a new one and I know many who would.

No. There aren't any good Puerto Rican restaurants in the suburbs. I suggest you travel to the Puerto Rican neighborhoods and eat there. Lots of people like La Brujena; Coco isn't bad either. Division Street between Western and California.
