Bars/Restaurants/Must See Rhodes

Hi,

My boyfriend and I will be in Rhodes for 5 nights at the end of May- any restaurant and bar suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would try Red, which is right across the street from the Casino Rodos and also Indigo which is in the new maket (Nea Agora). There is a great, great bar and restaurant in the Old Town but right now the name escapes me. If I think of it, I will post another reply or maybe I can just give you walking directions. I'll try to come up with the name first, though. For desserts, I would go to Stani (spelled STANH in Greek). Just ask for it and anyone can point you in the right direction.

Ha! I found a picture of myself in front of the great restaurant I referred to! The name is Besara and the adjoining bar is called Nectar and Ambrosia (in Greek NEKTAP KAI AMBPOSIA) It is located in the Old Town off the main drag. From Sakratou Street, Go South on Apelou street to the end. Make a left and your first right. Besara will be on your left side. It is wonderful! Enjoy!

One more thing, if you find the dessert place called Stani there are a few places right next to it for gyro. This is the best gyro in Rodos. If you want gyro, don't go anywhere else! There are two or three places all adjacent to one another, and all are very good.
