Dinner for 30 – Marina District
Any thoughts on a place for dinner for 30 semi-aging athletes? We have a big group of cyclists from the West Coast meeting up in NorCal in May for a week long ride that will end in SF. We'd like to enjoy a dinner out that last night (a Thursday) and wondered if there was a place that had a big party room or area for a private party? We'd like to sit together or at least adjacent to each other.
We're staying at the Lombard Motor Inn (1475 Lombard St) and need somewhere nearby in order to get everyone there. Would like price to be mid-range if possible.
Pizza? Italian? Comfort food? Definitely needs to serve beer and wine.
Since I'm arranging this from San Diego, the more info you can include (phone #'s especially), the better.
Thanks in advance.

We had a lovely dinner in the private dining room at Bistro Aix website says it holds up to 30 people. FWIW it is also always on our local critic's top 100 list
I hear that Izzy's a steak house has a private room but I have no idea how large it is and I have no idea how the food is since I have not been there in years.
Perry's on Union Street also has a back room.

Hope this helps!!
Most places in the area are smaller so 30 is tough.

If you look on the Place record you linked to, Izzy's has an upstairs area with a fireplace that accomdates 60.
In fact, if you search on SF event and neighborhood you will find info about event facilities at many restuarants. This search of sf event marina turns up in addition to Izzy's, Press a Vis, Pacific Catch, Bin 38

For the Presidio there's the Presidio Social Club
Amazingly Places is chock full of info if people would use it more than a GPS to give out addresses.
No private area, and I can't say how the food is, but Jones Roadhouse, a sports bar seems to have a lot of room and is rarely full when I drive by ... tho that last might be saying something.
