EWR Airport Eats

We have a 6 hour layover. I suggested Ironbound area. Any new or must eats in that area? Where is Liberty Park in proximity to EWR and any great eats nearby please?

  1. What's the date and time of your layover? It's important to know for recommendations to follow. Many places may not be open on Sunday, or traffic may be a concern.

Here is some information on the Ironbound Section of Newark:

Casa Vasca and Sebra's Marisqueira are two of the better places. Forno's. and Iberia have some love, but it's more quantity than quality. CV is Basque and Sebra's is Portuguese.,NJ/Resta...

    2. Liberty State Park is a 15 minute cab ride away, of course that's without some sort of traffic slowdown, which can easily happen, again, take into account the time of day. It can be a heavily congested trip. There have been discussions on CH about restaurants in Jersey City, although most off them are downtown--not near the park. Another short cab ride away. There is a restaurant in Liberty State Park, Liberty House I haven't been in about 7 years. Then, it was somewhat expensive, not inventive, but pretty good. I haven't heard much about it lately, and I certainly would be hesitant to recommend it as great eats.

      1. Happy travels. If you become tight on time, the EWR satellite of Gallagher's steakhouse can be a godsend. Terminal C.
