I amend my OP: watching all the old Andy Griffith Show clips in the wake of the star's death, I realize that Barney Fyfe (actor Don Knotts) resembled both Chris Kimball and, in exasperated facial expressions, Jon Cryer's Two-and-a-Half Men character.

Mario Batali = comic book store owner on The Simpsons

If they ever do a Gordon Ramsey biopic, the title role should go to an actor named Sebastian Roche.

Conveniently, he always seems to be cast as a villain (General Hospital's Jerry Jax, terrorist on 24, et. al.) The resemblance is uncanny.
