Best Restaurants on Ventura from Woodland Hills to Studio City

Hey Chowhounds. I just moved to Encino and am looking for the best Ventura Blvd has to offer. Any rec's would be greatly appreciated.

Love the idea of the Laurel Tavern but quite honestly the food is awful...

I've read good things about Larsen's Steak House at the Northwest corner of Ventura Blvd. and Woodley Avenue., upstairs.

For great fish wraps and tacos: Hook'd on Fish in the Encino Town Center (just east of Louise, south side of Ventura).

I just posted this on another query. Itzik Hagadol in Encino, across the street from the Town and Country Shopping Center was really fun and had excellent food. It is an Israeli salad and kabob place, with a very lively/fun atmosphere, and a lot of food. Good family-style place.

If you want quiet and calm, don't eat there. Otherwise, the four of us really had a good time..

                    to add...
                    Iroha Sushi
                    Katsuya
                    Outtake Bistro
Belwood Bakery for sammies and bread and whatnot
Brussel mentions Oliva which is technically not on Ventura, nor is Simon Cafe on Sepulveda one block below Ventura, but they're both good
California Pita for moist chicken and great fro yo
                    Firefly
                    Great Greek
                    Lala's Argentinian Grill

I would add Sol y Luna across from the Corbin Bowl in Tarzana. Very good albeit americanized Mexican food.
