Graduation lunch after Lincoln Center

hannah247 Apr 21, 2009 10:36 AM

I'm looking for a place to bring 12 after a graduation ceremony at lincoln center in June. My main concerns are comfort for a large party and good food. I'm flexible about cuisine. I'm hoping entrees will max out around 30 dollars...And we can travel a bit if need be. Thanks all!

I too am having my law school graduation ceremony at linconln center in May and I am also trying to find a lunch spot for 6 people. Landmarc and Jean-Georges are great suggestions but are already booked for lunch. Any more suggestions for a celebratory meal?

Bar Boulud is directly across B'way from Lincoln Center. The charcuterie is superb, and the bistro dishes are not too shabby either.

Telepan is a few blocks away. Good food and lovely ambiance.

Compass is also within walking distance. I haven't been back since they switched to a fish/seafood-oriented menu, but reports have been favorable.

Thanks RGR, but I managed to get a table at Jean-Georges - later than I wanted but will be happy to wait if the weather's nice. I'm looking forward to it!

Glad to hear that, pause23. Jean Georges is definitely worth the wait!

Congratulations on your law school graduation! :-)

Jean-Georges, either the main dining room or Nougatine, which we did for my son's graduation several years ago -- lovely and festive.

I believe Gabriel's is open for lunch, but I am not certain. Has been around a long time and the food is as good as ever.

Landmarc, PJ Clarkes, Rosa Mexicano (not the best, but good for a group)

Landmarc at Time Warner should do the trick.
