Weis' in Broad Channel (Next to the Flying "A")
Ah, the nostalgia. I remember going across the Broad Channel Bridge (then 10 cents) to Weis', next to the Flying "A" gas station on Cross Bay Boulevard (especially when going to the World's Fair). Their burgers were pretty decent, but the ONIONS! AH! I can't find any like those today. Do any CH'ers know of any burger joint that has such wonderful onions?
I remember Weis's - but coming from Brooklyn didn't need to pay the toll.
It was a Nathan's copy as was Big Daddy on Coney Isl. Ave (they moved to
Florida and saw a BD in Deerfield Beach).
Don't remember the onions - assume they were breaded/fried?

No, just the onions that were fried with the burgers on the grill (not the separate onion rings)...haven't had similar tasting nor smelling ones since! And while I'm at it, the burgers, too...haven't had anything like them either, since.
