The plan is to have the wedding in the off season. Sometime in November.

What are your suggestions for really good food and the right sort of ambiance for a wedding party. Maybe 30-50 people or so.

There's not all that much on Captiva, but The Old Captiva House at 'Tween Waters Inn might be a good bet. They do a lot of weddings there, so they would equipped for it. Nice ambience and good food. http://www.tween-waters.com/Dining.cfm

Tween Waters is your best bet. They do many weddings each year and have a skilled planner and several private rooms for your event. I am attending a destination wedding there in May and the bride has been very impressed with their facilities and plans. Many beach ceremonies occur there.
