Sprite+Coke=Ginger Ale?

While in a local place, we overheard a long discussion regarding ginger ale. The server was the only one to make "that special" version of ginger ale, and afterwards, described it as mostly Sprite, with a touch of Coke.

This was amusing to us, but is this normal?

    I really really hope not.

I've seen it done many times at bars (where I worked) where they don't have ginger ale and a customer asks for a drink with ginger ale.

It would never pass on its own for ginger ale though.

And ginger ale will never pass for ginger beer. But 50-50 ginger beer and Sprite makes a ginger ale that is better than most brands. (Maybe all?)

But you have to like ginger.

That's beyond weird. Where's the ginger in it? Ohright, there's none. Hmmmm.. Methings the bartender dosen't have his boss order the real stuff, that's a real shame.

Yes good point. But I've never seen "ginger" listed on any ginger-ales I've ever had??!! What up with that?
