Burly's Cannon Falls(MN)

  • 2

My mom and I stopped here between Rochester and St Paul. It's a cute little coffee place that roasts their own beans. We came after two when the kitchen was closed, but had a great vanilla latte and chocolate croissant. Just good to know there's somewhere to go for a cup of coffee at the half-way mark besides McDonalds.

  1. This place is a great stop in between Rochester and the Twin Cities. The coffee is roasted on site and the owners are there on a daily basis. There kitchen is pretty good, offering deli sandwiches and panninis. On the weekends they offer a brunch setting too, with waffles, egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos, etc. Overall- good coffee, good food, nice setting, small-town, friendly service.

    1. We're from the Twin Cities and met some friends from Rochester at Burly's, and we both agreed it was one of the best places we've been to for lunch/brunch in either place. The menu wasn't large, but very well thought out and had several exceptional "gourmet" twists. The service was great, and the chef even came out to ask the customers what they thought of the food. (How often does that happen?) The coffee and drinks were excellent as well.
