Monday Night Specials?

LBNJNY Apr 20, 2009 09:06 AM

Anyone have a good recommendation for restaurants offering Monday night specials? I am looking for good quality food - dining with my sister. Prefer the West side b/c she's in Tribeca and I am in Chelsea. Any kind of deal - e.g. half price wine. We dine out a lot so I'd love to hear of a neighborhood favorite I may have missed.

Barbone in the East Village has an excellent 4-course prix fixe menu on Monday and Tuesday evenings for around $40. Bring a wheelbarrow.

Smith's is doing roast chicken for 2 on Mon or Tue, with salad and sides, $35.

I completely forgot about the Smith's deal, I too was looking a place to eat tonight, and this is perfect. Thanks for the reminder!

Please post feedback if you make it to Smith's.

It's certainly a fantastic deal, as long as the food is solidly good. Considering this as a "break" (both financially and culinarily) from a week-long chowfest next month.

That's right near my Murray Hill office, so I am going to have to check it out. Thanks a bunch.

At Apiary, you can BYO with no corkage on Mondays. There is also a $35 3-course prix-fixe. The chef is Scott Bryan, of Veritas fame, and his New American cuisine -- a bit more rustic here -- is delicious.
