Rainy Free Cone Day 09...again.

Once again, this year, Free Cone Day (April 21) will be rainy and faily cold. We haven't been lucky the last few years it seems, And, typicaly, the only rainy day of the week is called for tomorrow, all other days will be fine.

Upside is, if I brave the elements, it should not be too busy.

I believe this was the third rainy free cone day in a row! Unfortunately, I am off ice cream for the time being. It was painfully difficult watching group after group of my daycare kids and educators going to get their ice cream today. The people there are always so nice to our kids.

I would wait a very long time if I could get a Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz cone. B & J's greatest flavour was inexplicably dropped several years ago.

I'm pretty sure I saw Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz on the menu tonight-though I wouldn't swear on my life! They let you study the menu before you got to the front of the line. 5-min. wait at Monkland around 8:00 pm.

Yeah, just checked on the B&J site and it's still listed as a current flavour - so it looks like you're in luck, even if you missed today's free-cone extravaganza!

It seems March 23rd, 2010 is free cone day at Ben & Jerry's according to their US website and their Facebook site has a sub site called, "B&J's Free Cone Day! US". Their Canadian website does not mention free cone day. I thought they typically had cone day on the same day in the US and Canada. Anyone know anything about this? It's typically in April.

the B&J on de Maisonneuve / Crescent does show tomorrow (March 23) as free cone day

I went to the one in Old Montreal around 5pm and there was no line at all! Just us and some businessmen.

Yeah, I guess that secret should be shared. I've been to free cone day's at the Maisonneuve location, Monkland, and the new McGill College location and there is always some sort of wait. The last few years, as I work in old Montreal, I always go there, there is never any wait! Went at lunch-time, the rain stopped for about an hour, out of respect for Free Cone Day I can only assume (altough the evening was also nice).

So many weeks of maiting and it is over so soon...until 2010!

Hehe, I'm tempted to look up all the Ben & Jerry's locations on the island to see how many free cones I can rack up... unfortunately I work tomorrow so I'll just have to settle for seeing if there happens to be one not too far from work on my way home.

Once a year, every year, Ben & Jerry's gives out ice cream cons for free in their shops. Started out as a charity event, they've been doing it every year for some time.

Sorry, I assume that just because my world centers around ice cream, so does everyone's.

Our world (my wife and I) revolves around Ice cream too, specifically B+J. And tomorrow is marked on my calendar.lol

Yah I remember last year being miserable too, but we made it. On the bright side ice cream weather is coming late this week with the thermometer forecasted in the low 20s.
