Knife storage. Best in-drawer blocks?

We don't have incredibly high-end knives to store, but I'd like to get away from the wood-block-on-the-counter. If you had about 6 middling knives from a set and six steak knives to store in a drawer, how would you do it in a drawer? Are there particular drawer wood blocks that you like? (Don't want to get fiddly with individual holders.)

    1. measure your drawer, but these have worked well for me.

        1. I have a shallow drawer under my cooktop which is where I store my knives. I put down some of that shelf liner stuff that is kind of rubbery with little holes in it; things don't slide around on it. I just lay my knives on that stuff and they stay put. Really easy.

We've got a drawer like that, shallow enough that it wouldn't be 'fishing for knives' time. Will consider, thanks.
