Crazy but urgent recipe request

Don't think I'm wacky, but I have a couple of lbs of fresh mussels that I want to use and the kids just say Yuck when they saw them.
I wonder if I minced them and added them to a lasagna, if they would be able to tell by the flavor.
Any suggestions would be great. thanks.

By the way, as for the mussels, Let Them Eat Crostini!

I am laughing out loud at your funny anecdotes and you are 100% right. They can have pb&j...thanks so much for the input.

Of course they would be able to tell. Kids aren't dumb.
Worse, that's a waste of good mussels.
Fix them however YOU would like them and enjoy the mussels yourself.

When our kids pulled that, we used to fix "grown up" foods, and make a big point of telling them that they were "too little" to eat whatever it was, that they were not able to appreciate such grownup foods and that they would have to wait until they were old enough to enjoy it. We had no intention of "wasting" such good stuff on "mere kids."
Before long, they were begging for a taste.
It often worked pretty well and they often liked those "grown up" foods that they had turned up their ignorant little unadventurous noses at.

Make a paella. Kids can content themselves with savory rice and any other add-ins. Mussels will be discrete enough in the dish so you you can enjoy without anyone complaining about mussel flavor. Plus, a paella with mussels just plain looks enticing, so it might draw in the kids!

The prettiest paella I've ever had had a row of mussels lined up in a circle at the outside edge of the pan.

Exactly! We do this for multigenerational family dinners. Adults love the mussels in the shells, and no kids whine. Plus, the presentation is smashing! Cay

          Surely you jest?
I might add them to a seafood lasagna but would expect them to be tough and contribute nothing.
Cook em up in a fry pan with olive oil and white wine. with a bit of salt ,pepper and garlic.
Why waste them on kids? Let them eat cake.

I agree. If you haven't eaten them already, make them tonight.
