Co Co Sala in DC - Report

Now that the weather is nice, one of DC's best spots to eat is out on the sidewalk, in front of the thumping music/nightclub atmosphere of CoCo Sala.

The tiny, tiny menu of small bites features salads, mac n cheese, and sliders. The swordfish and the blue cheese beef sliders are about as delicious as anything gets. The kitchen specializes in cacao inspired foods, and the tiny dab of mole served with the beef slider is a wicked creation indeed. The arugula and manchego salad is very good.

There are four desserts featured which are each gatherings of four small tastes. These are very good, but not really a good value. You get much more bang for your buck at a place like the Lounge at Citronelle for the same price. If you want to end with chocolate, maybe sharing a chocolate tasting or sipping on a chocolate drink is the way to go.

  1. I went to CoCo Sala over Inauguration weekend, and loved everything I had. The manchego fritters were perfection. My only complaint was that there were limited options for vegetarians, but I recently looked at their menu and see they've added several veggie-friendly items.

I can't wait to go back!
