Melanie's Bistro or Three's Company for brunch?
OK, my mother in law wants to take us out for brunch in our area next weekend--so which one? Both get good reviews, both are independently-owned, both have interesting menus, so how's a girl to choose?

My vote would go to Three's Company. We have had a couple of great brunches there, eggs benny on a cheese biscuit was a winner for me. But, I have never been to Melanie's. I've also heard that The Only has a great brunch, and they are now serving awesome coffee next door at the One in the Only.

Well you're not getting inundated with comments. Perhaps not a lot of people have been to both in order to be able to compare. I've been to Melanie's for brunch and would recommend it. I enjoyed the cod cakes with poached eggs there.
Haven't tried Three's Company for brunch but I agree the menu looks interesting.
Are you taking public transit or driving? Parking around Woodbine & Danforth may be easier than near Pape and Danforth.
