Joel is great. They did our wedding where the food was the number one priority. We picked them over everyone else. Food's different than Mother's though.

if you want some traditional New Orleans inspired food at a reasonable price I reccommend Cafe Reconcile...when I'm doing casual I use them and have had great food every time

I'd second Cafe Reconcile for the cause alone.

Went to a Cuvee catered affair that was outstanding, and if you're looking for some of the more traditional fare to fresh grilled fish stations, Cashio's out of Thibodaux is outstanding!

I would also throw in Rommel's catering. They are very good. I would stay away from Mother's pretty much on all things.

One other suggestion is Second Helpings catering, which is a program of Odyssey House. Last time I tried Reconcile, no one would return my call so I went with Second Helpings, which everyone enjoyed.

Maybe you could convince Love at First Bite, the catering arm of Walker's to go to your place and with some cochon de lait poboys.

I would scale the walls to that party ...
