interesting pre-theater dinner

My husband and I are seeing a show on sat night and looking for something off the beaten path for a pre-theater dinner. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest heading to 9th ave, there are a bunch of restaurants there. Is there any particular cuisine you like? How much are you willing to spend?
