OC source for actual butter baklava
Does anyone know where in OC one could find great baklava, (and other Middle Eastern sweets), made with butter, rather than shortening or veg oil?
I agree, it shouldn't be made with oil or shortening, but it is, all over the place. I assume for reasons of cost or dietary restrictions. Packaged stuff has it listed right there on the label, and I always ask at pastry counters.
