Daniel Boulud -- After Hours with Daniel TV show

Just caught this 2006 TV show -- Daniel Boulud hosts late night dinner parties at NYC restaurants with excellent chefs. Guests are fellow chefs and some actors and writers.

Good food presentation; some good conversation, particularly about food and the restaurant business. Great meals presented by top chefs at excellent restaurants, though curiously Boulud cooks too at the host restaurants.
I got in on Netflix, and look forward to the rest of the series.
Restaurants so far: WD-50, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Maremma and Dinosaur BBQ w/ John Stage, owner in NYC branch.

    1. I really enjoy those. I've watched some of them several times. The episode with Susan Spicer is very good.

        1. You can see all the episodes anytime at Hulu:

I was enjoying watching them, especially the New Orleans restaurants he featured. Sadly, the channel it was on went out of business, so I lost that show along with my other favorite, Three Sheets.

              • I thought the first season was great with the NY chefs. The second in LA was rather dull - only an occasional bon mot or interesting preparation. The third season is again in LA but moves to NOLA for the last half. Interesting to watch some of the chefs such as Besh pre-FN. And that Daniel guy - he can cook!

The second season is in LA, but the third season has 5 episodes in New Orleans and then 5 episodes in Miami. Here's a link to the old MOJO network...it still has episode information. It was one of my favorite shows...too bad the channel went down.

I actually saw Daniel at a food thing in NYC last fall and asked him about the show. He said they might be doing another season but they needed to find another place to air it.
