Ama Restaurant ~ Atlantic Highlands?

Has anyone been here? I have not and have no reviews. Just curious to find out if it is worth a trip or not. Thanks!

We have become 'regular' customers at Ama's. Terrific huge scallops in browned butter/sage sauce, wonderful veal bolognese, bronzino is so fresh... In the summer you can sit outside and it is pleasant. The best part is that not only is the food good, but it is a BYOB. Definitely recommend it.

I live in Atlantic Highlands and have been there twice. Love it. Highly recommend reservations, especially during the summer, because it only seats maybe 10 tables. Good for parties up to 4- anything beyond that may have trouble accommidating.
Good rustic, fresh Italian cooking. Desserts are excellent as well. Another plus is that its BYOB meaning you won't spend a fortune on wine.

I can say the food is good enough to pair with a quality chianti or pinot.

Note the sticky at the top of this board. seal would not have have proposed Ama as a venue for a Hound get-together if he felt a sizable group could not be accommodated.
