Not a fan of wolfgangs. Not that their steaks aren't great, just the service is notoriously awful and the atmosphere is of a modern day boy's club (read: aging frat guys turned bankers). Perhaps the recession has done away this.

Keen's on the other hand is an experience. Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere, and a scotch whisky list that will knock your socks off.

We've been to Wolfgang's on 33rd St. once. The food was good, and service was fine. No frat boy-turned-banker atmospherics, perhaps because it was a Sunday evening. In fact, it was reasonably quiet, and Wolfgang, himself, seated us. That said...

Keens is our favorite NYC steakhouse. Because it's been in its 36th St. location since 1885, in addition to delicious food and friendly, efficient service, there is the unmatchable charm of the Old New York ambiance.

So, of the two, my pick would definitely be Keens.

We've never been to BLT Steak, but everything I've read about it has been positive.

You might want to do a search....

The Wolfgang's downtown is very good. Better than uptown IMO.
