Frankies Franks Arthur Avenue Bronx

On my way to the cheese shop on Arthur Avenue I saw that Frankies Franks has opened recently. I'd already had lunch but walked in anyway to see that they serve Jersey-style fried dogs with potatoes, onion, and peppers on an italian roll.

Has anyone tried?

Jersey style as in Trenton's famous 'Casino Dog'?

Established in 1935, the Casino Restaurant was born as a result of Canio (Tony) Sbarro's vision of serving a delicious Italian Hot Dog on a fresh topedo roll brimming with Casino's signature fried potatoes, green peppers and mustard.

The Casino Restaurant is also known by the nickname of "Tony Goes". According to the story, Canio was taking trips to the bakery or produce store for more fresh peppers and potatoes. The busier he became, the more trips he would make...

Jersey style? As in similar to Rutt's Hut in Clifton? If so I'm game in checking it out.

These sound much close to Jimmy Buff's Italian Hot Dogs (although they're served on "pizza bread", not a roll), than they do to the deep-fried dogs Rutt's is famous for.
