6-1 Tomatoes in Western Suburbs

Hi,

I am looking for 6-1 Tomatoes (by Escalon) for a stuffed pizza sauce. Where can I find these in the Western suburbs? I am in a bit of a time bind, so if I cannot get them here, is there anything that is close that I could substitute? (I will have to buy them online in the future!)

Thank you so much!

Wow, thank you so much for all of your help! I ended up buying them at Dominick's and they were fantastic! Made my stuffed pizza a huge success!

When I was back there at Christmas-time, Ameci's at 63rd and Fairview in DG carried them...very reasonable price as well

I buy them at Treasure Island.

All the Caputo's stores carry 6-1. At Dominick's they can usually be found not in the tomato sauce/pasta aisle, but in the ethnic foods aisle.

If you want to try contacting Escalon to ask, their contact information is on their website at www.escalon.net

If you have a Dominick's near you you might want to check there. The one near me (on the near north side) carries 6-1, but usually doesn't have very many cans at a time and has them tucked away on a bottom shelf where they are easy to overlook.
