6-1 Tomatoes in Western Suburbs

I am looking for 6-1 Tomatoes (by Escalon) for a stuffed pizza sauce. Where can I find these in the Western suburbs? I am in a bit of a time bind, so if I cannot get them here, is there anything that is close that I could substitute? (I will have to buy them online in the future!)

Thank you so much!

  1. If you have a Dominick's near you you might want to check there. The one near me (on the near north side) carries 6-1, but usually doesn't have very many cans at a time and has them tucked away on a bottom shelf where they are easy to overlook.

    1. If you want to try contacting Escalon to ask, their contact information is on their website at

      1. All the Caputo's stores carry 6-1. At Dominick's they can usually be found not in the tomato sauce/pasta aisle, but in the ethnic foods aisle.

        1. When I was back there at Christmas-time, Ameci's at 63rd and Fairview in DG carried them...very reasonable price as well
