Banh Mi around Newark Blvd/Hwy 84 area?

My very favorite banh mi in the Ardenwood-Newark Blvd-Jarvis Ave.-Hwy 84 area was from Thanh Thanh which closed a while back. I’m still in mourning. They had the most delicious and perfect egg and Chinese sausage bahn mi--trung chien lap xuong.

Can you recommend any alternative banh mi within a short drive? The egg bahn mi is not a requirement—it would be nice, but probably too much to ask.

Try Jenjon Cafe on Decoto @ Alvarado-Niles. It's hidden in the corner of the Safeway shopping center. Very small place, rather slow, and a little pricey for banh mi (a little under $5) but pretty good.

There's Huong Lan, in the Lion Food Plaza on Mowry. It's okay though, not the greatest.
